The Safe n Sound’s newest upgrade to their premium 0-4 years convertible seat, the Meridian.
This seat now includes Side Impact Cushion Technology (SICT) – Head Protection. This unique SICT layer provides 180° protection around your child’s head. SICT maximises head protection by dramatically reducing side impact forces. As the cushion compresses it dispels air at a controlled rate, and this results in the cushion absorbing the crash energy.
Head accelerations experienced by a child in Meridian SICT are lower and dispersed over a longer period of time.
We are happy to hear the improvement of the Meridian’s Active Head Restraint (AHR) this features deeper side wings that shield and contain your child’s head in a side impact crash. AHR grows with your child working with SICT to contain your child’s head and to minimise impact forces.
The AHR Easy Adjust has also improved so that all you need to do is pull up on the lever to automatically re-position the shoulder straps. This means it has a Hassle Free Harness as there is no need to rethread the Hassle Free Harness, reducing the risk of incorrect installation and harness fitment.
It also retains the EZ-Buckle System which prevents your child from sitting on the buckle when boarding. We especially like the Unique Infant Safety Cushion which provides increased protection for babies.
This cushion includes composite material support pad on each side to absorb energy away from your babies torso during a side impact crash. Lastly the Meridian’s Helpful harness holders will make it easy to get your child in and out of the seat. Additionally they prevent hot harness tongues from touching your child’s skin.
Age Suitability:
– Rearward Facing (from birth up to 12 mths of age approx.)
Rearward facing your Meridian SICT can be used by your child until their
shoulders reach the lower shoulder height marker. The seat then needs to be
turned to forward facing mode.
– Forward Facing (from 12 mths to 4 years of age approx.)
Forward facing your Meridian SICT can be used when your child’s shoulders are
in line with the lower shoulder height marker (12 months of age approx.)
until their shoulders reach the upper shoulder height marker (4 years old approx.)
